  Short Description
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) is a species of herbaceous plant
belonging to the legume family. It is the main forage species
cultivated in Argentina base of the production of
meat and milk of the Pampas region.

   Properties

Alfalfa is the forage plant par excellence. As an animal feed source,

has excellent nutritional properties, among which are:

  • High protein content. Alfalfa, provides a large amount of protein
vegetable, an aspect that will result in the health and welfare of animals.

  • High content of macro and micro nutrients as: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium,
    calcium, boron, sulfur, molybdenum, magnesium.

  • Fiber richness: The contribution of fiber, to animal feed, depends on the particle size of the product supplied, be it bale, pellet or bucket.

   ¿Why choose alfalfa?

  • High yield kg/dry matter.

  • Alfalfa has an excellent protein content when it is found in a floral bud and 10% flowering.

  • Gran cantidad de aminoácidos.

  • Betacaroteno y vitaminas C, D, E y K.

  • High digestibility of their Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF): dairy cows in production will eat more dry matter and produce more milk when fed with forages that have higher digestibility of NDF.

  • The addition of bulky foods in ruminant ration is essential to stimulate rumen and maintain healthy rumen.

Also, pellets offer the advantage of being ready to use as an ingredient in the preparation of rations, for example: rabbits, chinchillas, sheep, goats, pigs, deer, chickens, turkeys and other birds.
Cubes are an ideal product for equines and / or high performance animals. Its high degree of compaction allows it to be spread on the floor, without causing losses in quantity and quality of the product. The size of the fiber is adequate to add volume to the ration.
